Mission statement
Our mission is to provide the international shipping and marine industry with high quality surveys and services on a 24/7 basis. All IMCS surveyors and consultants are highly qualified, motivated and have extensive sea-going and/or industry relevant experience.
The IMCS Group Quality System, together with our Laws & Bye Laws, ensure that all surveys are carried out in a uniform house-styled manner and in line with good industry practice and standards.
Commitment to, and compliance with, the IMCS Group Quality System is facilitated by training, seminars and group meetings, as well as in-house developed support systems based on the latest technology.
History
The history of the IMCS Group of Companies goes back to 1990 when IMCS – Belgium was founded in Antwerp by Rudi De Graeve (retired).
Between 1993 and 2005, IMCS branch offices were set up in strategic locations throughout Europe, and in the Baltic and Black Sea areas.
In 2001, the IMCS Group of Companies was founded as an umbrella organization in England with a view to strengthening ties between the different IMCS companies, streamlining survey and reporting standards and improving professionalism through an in-house quality system, training programmes, seminars and Group meetings.
In 2005, IMCS-Belgium was taken over by Delvos Financial Holding with its major shareholder Armand Devos as General Manager, who recognised the advantage of a strong international group.
That vision, developed within the company, resulted in further expansion including representation in overseas areas such as China, South-America and more recently, in 2016, a branch office in India.
Whilst the IMCS Group of Companies is now well established internationally, opportunities for expanding the present network are continuously being explored. Rapid expansion has never been a goal in itself and attention of the Group remains focused on professionalism and providing high quality survey standards.
